Let's go back to September when I welcomed my handsome husband back from his 3rd deployment. Such a perfect day!
We also went to the Hawkeye- Greyhound Ball in September. We stayed at the hotel so both of us could party the night away!
Next came our Punta Cana, Dominican Republic trip. We spent a week in the DR at the Barcelo Resorts drinking, laying by the pool and spending MUCH quality time together. We also celebrated my 28th birthday in Punta Cana. Here are a few pictures from our trip...
We got home late on Sept 28th. Unpacked all our bags and went to sleep in our own bed. The next day was ELLEN with my best friends. I woke up early and started to get ready. Something didn't feel quite right...after one pregnancy test later...WE FOUND OUT WE'RE EXPECTING!!! Tiny Toe will be joining our family in June. Yes, we have a little deployment (cruise) baby!
Still needed to go to ELLEN and trying to keep this a secret from my 3 best friends would be impossible. I ended up breaking down and telling them at lunch. Note to Self: I am the worst at keeping secrets!
This brings us to October. We said goodbye to The World Famous Black Eagles VAW 113 and started house hunting for our move to Virginia in November. Flying and driving around looking for houses in the middle of morning sickness = NOT FUN! But we did find a very cute 3 bedroom 2.5 bath town home in Virginia Beach.
We also had our first doctors appointment for Baby Campbell on Matt's 30th Birthday (Oct 24th) . We got to hear the heart beat and see our little bean.
This brings us to November. We we're very busy packing up the house, saying our goodbyes to family and friends, and planning our move across. Matt and I decided to do a "Diner, Drive-Ins and Dives" tour across the states. Didn't go as planned...but more on that later. Then came moving day....
Before leaving, my best friends and I threw a Baby Shower for Jessica. This was our last big function with my best friends or RFLs (Roomies for Life) before leaving and boy was it emotional.
It was time to hit the road for our X-country trip. We woke up early to check out at VAW 113
and then start the drive across country.
Out of 3 Places from Triple D, we only timed it right for one. Bang! in downtown Denver.
Next, we stopped to visit our navy friends "The Chuds" in Colorado Springs for a couple days.
Next: Tennessee to visit Matt's family
Finally made it to Virginia Beach where we began unpacking all our boxes and making our town home into our home.
After unpacking for a week, drove back to Tennessee to spend Thanksgiving 2011 with Matt's family.
This brings us to December. We decided with all our traveling to spend Christmas together in VA Beach. I was able to talk Matt into getting a real Christmas tree despite him saying that it was a fire hazard.

We opened gifts Christmas morning while Skyping with our parents and eating Sausage Balls.
New Years Eve was spent at the Oechslein's wedding. Needless to say, we had a good time.
As great as this year was, 2012 promises to be an even better year.
